Founded by Nicole Snow, Darn Good Yarn began with a simple idea: connect unique, beautiful craft materials with a business model that supports artisans and reduces waste. What started with just two boxes of recycled silk yarn has grown into a global community built around creativity, sustainability, and ethical craftsmanship.

We work with talented artisans, particularly in India and Nepal, to create distinctive yarns, fibers, clothing, and handmade goods. Many of our materials are made by reclaiming and transforming textile remnants, including colorful sari fabrics, giving materials a new life instead of allowing them to become waste.

But our products are only part of the story. We are committed to creating fair, safe, and sustainable employment for artisans and underserved communities. By partnering with local producers and cooperatives, we help people build better livelihoods while preserving traditional craftsmanship and skills.
